1   INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 Kg Chicken
  • 2 Large Onions
  • 200g Yoghurt (Dahi)
  • 4 Large Tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 6-8 Green Chilli
  • 1 Tbsp Coriander (Dhanya) Powder
  • 1 Cup Coriander (Dhanya) Fresh
  • 1 Cup Mint (Podina) Fresh
  • 1 Tsp Black Cumin (Zeera)
  • 4 Black Cardamoms (Bari Ellaichi)
  • 4 Cloves (Laung)
  • 1 Stick Cinnamon (Daarcheeni)
  • 6-8 Black Pepper (Kali Mirch)
  • 2 Bay Leaves (Taiz Patta)
  • 150g Plum (Aloobukhara)
  • 1/2 Kg Rice
  • 2 Tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste (Lahsan Adrak)

2   COOKING DIRECTIONS

  1. For Rice

  2. In a cooking pot heat oil, and add 4-6 Cloves, Black Cardamom (Broken), 2-3 Bay Leaves, 1 piece of Cinnamon and stir fry.
  3. Now add Water (equal to the amount of rice), 1 Tsp Black Cumin, 6-8 Black Pepper, and boil.
  4. When it boils, add Rice into it and simmer ('Dam Dayna') light flame.
  5. For Qorma
  6. Heat oil in a saucepan, and fry Onion till Brown.
  7. Then add Tomato, Plum and all spices.
  8. Stir fry and add Chicken and cook for 15 Minutes.
  9. At the end add Yoghurt and further cook for 2-3 Minutes.
  10. Now take half of cooked Rice in a separate dish , and spread the cooked Qorma over it.
  11. Lay Hara Masala on it, spread the remaining cooked Rice and again lay Hara Masala on top.
  12. Simmer on light flame ('Dam Dayna') and then serve.
