  • Pineapple 1 large ripe
  • Water 1 pint
  • Ghee 1 tbsp
  • Onion 1 large
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander seeds 1 tsp
  • Dry red chilies 8
  • Salt to taste
  • Egg sized lump of jagger 1

Cooking Directions

  1. Grind coriander and chilies to a paste. Heat some ghee in a saucepan.

  2. When it is very hot, add the sliced onion and the mustard seeds and fry till the onions are slightly brown.

  3. Then add the pineapple chopped into cubes and the coriander and chilies paste.

  4. Add the jaggery, water and salt to taste.

  5. Simmer slowly on a very low heat until the gravy thickens.

  6. Serve hot with rice or puris.
