Utter tasty and quite different curry of gram flour with chicken mince ball is great to serve with plain boiled rice or thin chapaties. If you prepare this as side dish of your dawat then it would be a tasty addition in your menu.

Ingredients

  • Chicken mince ½ kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Onion 2 (chopped)
  • Green chilies 2-3
  • Coriander leaves ¼ bunch
  • Salt as required
  • Yogurt 250 gm
  • Gram flour 175 gm
  • Water 1 ½ litre
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Oil as required
  • Whole red chilies 6-7
  • Garlic cloves 2 - 3 (sliced)
  • Cumin ½ tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. In a food processor chop together the mince chicken, ginger garlic paste, 1 onion, green chilies, coriander leaves and a pinch of salt.

  2. Shape the mixture into small dumplings.

  3. In a bowl add the yogurt and mix in the gram flour, water, turmeric and red chili powder.

  4. In a wok heat 2-3 tbsp oil and saute the remaining chopped 1 onion until they soften.

  5. Pour the gram flour mixture and allow to cook on a low flame.

  6. If the mixture thickens quickly add some more water.

  7. When the mixture begins to thicken add the chicken koftas and simmer.

  8. In a separate pan heat ¼ cup oil and add whole red chilies, garlic clove and cumin.

  9. Fry until the ingredients begin to splutter.

  10. Pour the temper over the koftay and serve hot.
