Simple Vanilla Cupcakes

Whisk butter and sugar together until light anf fluffy.

In a bowl add all dry ingredients and mix.

Gradually add 1 tbs of flour at a time into the butter and sugar batter, along with 1 egg at a time so that the egg does not split.

Add milk and vanilla essence and whisk.

Place cupcakes in a cupcake/muffin try.

Add spoonfuls of the batter in to each cupcake case.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180c for 15-20 mins.

Take out and cool on a wire rack.

Apply Butter frosting and decorate.

Note: in any empty cupcake moulds you can half fill with water, this will keep the cupcakes moist.

Note: you can substitute 1 tbsp of cocoa powder for 1 tbsp of plain flour and make chocolate cupcakes instead.
