Batata balls are made with chicken and potatoes, with delicious flavourings, such as soya sauce, mustard, green chillies and vinegar to give it an uplifting taste. Batata Balls are best for serving at a party specially as an entree recipe. You can freeze them after making a batch, once prepared just fry them and they are ready to serve.

Ingredients

  • Chicken boneless 200 gm
  • Potatoes boiled 2
  • Green chilies chopped 2
  • Fresh bread crumbs 4 slices
  • Gram flour ½ cup
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Mustard paste 2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  • Fresh coriander 2 tbsp
  • Oil for fry
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Cut the chicken and cook it with red chili powder, vinegar, soya sauce, mustard paste, salt and ½ cup water.

  2. Cook till chicken is tender.

  3. Now cool the mixture and add chopped green chilies, fresh coriander, boiled potatoes and cumin seeds.

  4. Make small balls of the mixture.

  5. Make a paste with flour and water as required.

  6. Dip meat balls in paste and coat fresh bread crumbs.

  7. Deep fry in hot oil till its color turn to golden brown.

  8. The Batata Balls are ready to serve.
