Combine all the ingredients.
Knee the flour with water to make dough.
Dough must not be very soft. It should be a bit hard but easy to handle.
Cover the dough with a wet cloth and leave for at least half an hour.
Make small balls of the dough.
After making the balls press them to make them a bit flat.
Roll out the balls with a rolling pin in round shape. (Its size should not be more than your palm)
Then prick it with the fork so the dough will not rise while frying.
Fry till golden brown.
Crispy mathri are ready. Serve hot with semolina halwa.
