Ingredients

  • King fish ½ kg
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Flour ½ cup
  • Oil 3 – 4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • For Sauce:
  • Oil 3 – 4 tbsp
  • Ginger 1 medium piece (chopped)
  • Garlic clove 2 – 3 (chopped)
  • Honey 3 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  • Worchester sauce 2 tbsp
  • Tomato ketchup 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder ¼ tsp
  • Spring onion 1 (chopped)
  • Water ¼ cup
  • Corn flour 1 – 1 ½ tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Wash fish and marinate with lemon juice, ginger garlic paste and a little salt.

  2. Then coat the marinated fish with dry flour and shallow fry with oil.

  3. Remove and keep aside.

  4. For Sauce: In another wok heat 3 – 4 tbsp oil, add in chopped ginger garlic.

  5. Sauté till golden brown.

  6. Add honey and cook for a few seconds.

  7. Now add soya sauce, Worchester sauce, tomato ketchup, salt to taste, black pepper powder and chopped spring onion.

  8. Mix well for 1 – 2 minutes.

  9. Then add water and let it cook for a few minutes.

  10. Thicken sauce with dissolved corn flour paste.

  11. Now put fish steak in a platter.

  12. Top with prepared honey sauce and serve.
