Ingredients

  • Red kidney beans (lal lobiya) 1 cup
  • Basmati rice 1 cup
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Salt (less than your taste)
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin (zeera) grinded 1 tsp
  • Red capsicum 1
  • Green chili 2-3 (optional)
  • Lemon juice 1/4 cup
  • Extra version olive oil 2-1/2 tbsp
  • Vinegar as required
  • Spring onion (hari piyaz) 1/2 cup
  • Green capsicum 1/2 cup
  • Fresh coriander (sabut dhanya) 1/4 cup
  • Regular onion 1

Cooking Directions

  1. Boil the red beans.

  2. Boil the rice with turmeric & salt.

  3. Add in coriander powder & cumin powder in rice.

  4. Roast a red capsicum on direct flame.

  5. Soak the green chilies in vinegar.

  6. Finely cut spring onion, green chili & coriander.

  7. Also cut regular onion, roasted red capsicum & green capsicum.

  8. Add chopped coriander in rice.

  9. Mix red beans, red capsicum, green capsicum & green chilies.

  10. Also add spring onion & regular onion.

  11. Mix extra version olive oil, salt & lemon juice.

  12. Add the olive oil mix in beans mixture & mix well.

  13. Now add the beans mixture in the yellow rice.
