Ingredients

  • Mutton ½ kg
  • Colocasia ½ kg
  • Onion 2 (finely chopped)
  • Turmeric powder 1 ½ tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Green chili 2
  • Lemon 2
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Green chili 2 (finely chopped)
  • Fresh coriander leaves ½ bunch (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Clean colocasia, and soak in 2 cup water with ½ tsp turmeric powder.

  2. In a cooking pan, heat oil then add mutton, onion, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste and 2 cup hot water.

  3. Cook it on a low flame till the meat tenders.

  4. As the water dries and oil forms a layer, add colocaisa with 1 cup water and simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. When colosaisa is cooked, add lemon juice, all spice powder, finely chopped green chilies and fresh coriander leaves.

  6. Serve it hot with nan.
