Ingredients

  • Black eyed beans ½ kg
  • Spring onions 2-3
  • Eggs 2
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Whole cumin 1 tsp
  • Whole coriander 1tsp
  • Black peppercorns ½ tsp
  • Whole red chlies 6-8
  • Soya sauce 3-4 tbsp
  • Bread crumbs 1 cup
  • Baking soda ½ tsp
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt as required

Cooking Directions

  1. Soak the beans over night with baking soda.

  2. Boil the beans till completely dry.

  3. Chop them in a food processor along with the spring onions, ginger garlic paste, whole cumin, whole coriander, black pepper, whole red chilies, soya sauce and salt.

  4. Shape the mixture in medium sized patties.

  5. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl.

  6. Dip each patty in the egg and then coat with bread crumbs.

  7. Shallow fry and serve with salad leaves and chutney.
