  • Stewing beef cut into cubes 450 gm
  • Massaman (Thai) curry paste 3 tbsp
  • Coconut cream 1/2 cup
  • Coconut milk 2 cup
  • Seeds of 5 cardamoms, roasted until fragrant
  • Cinnamon stick 3"
  • Potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks 2 medium
  • Unsalted peanuts, chopped 1 tbsp
  • Shallots 10
  • Bay leaves 3
  • Fish sauce 3 tbsp
  • Tamarind juice 3 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Cook curry paste and coconut cream together in a large saucepan for five minutes.

  2. Add beef and saute for 8-10 minutes.

  3. Add coconut milk, bring to a boil and simmer gently to 10 minutes.

  4. Add remaining ingredients and cook till potatoes and meat are cooked.

  5. Serve hot with sliced pickles, veggies and steamed rice.
