Thai style chicken satay is a popular dish of skewered chicken flavored with peanut butter and other spices served with peanut rice. Prepared some Chicken Satay during a party with your family or friends and it will be instant hit.

  • For Chicken Satay:
  • Chicken 2 cups (boneless)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce 1 tsp
  • Peanut butter 2 tbsp
  • Bamboo sticks as required
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • For Peanut Rice:
  • Basmati rice ½ kg
  • Rice 1 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Peanut 1 tbsp
  • Peanut butter 2 tbsp
  • Onion 1 (fried)

Cooking Directions

  1. For Chicken Satay: Cut chicken in cube shape.

  2. Add salt n black pepper to taste, ginger garlic paste, and soy sauce.

  3. Mix well and marinate for 10 – 12 minutes.

  4. Add peanut butter to a saucepan and let it melt.

  5. Insert chicken pieces into bamboo sticks.

  6. Grill on a frying pan or grill pan and fry until marinated chicken is well cooked from both sides.

  7. Coat chicken in melted peanut butter and serve.

  8. For Peanut Rice: Soak basmati rice in water for half an hour.

  9. Boil rice in a medium sized cooking pot with salt and oil.

  10. When rice is cooked, drain and spread on a tray.

  11. In a wok, heat 1 tbsp oil.

  12. Then add peanut butter and let it melt.

  13. Add boiled rice, sliced peanuts, fried onion, salt and black pepper.

  14. Mix well and serve with Chicken Satay.
