  • Gram flour 1 oz
  • Rice flour 1 oz
  • Green chilies 5 – 6 (chopped)
  • Coriander ½ bunch
  • Spring onions 2 - 3 (chopped)
  • Cumin 1 tbsp (powder)
  • Turmeric 1tsp (powder)
  • Onions 2 – 3 (sliced)
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Baking soda 1/3 tsp
  • Oil for frying
  • For garnishing:
  • Salad leaves 2 - 3
  • Tomatoes 2 - 3

Cooking Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl combine together the onions, green chilies, spring onions, coriander, salt, cumin powder, and baking soda.

  2. Then add the rice flour, gram flour and water.

  3. Mix together to form a smooth batter.

  4. On a medium flame heat oil in wok and deep fry the pakoras until brown and crispy.

  5. Serve in a platter, garnished with lettuce leaves and diced tomatoes.
