This is the only proper degi steam recipe I have seen so far on this site. For vinegar use Malt Vinegar (Kala Sirka), white will not give desi taste. Can also add a dash of lemon. Important thing is to make sure that the chicken has dried up of all fluids. The Steaming process is well explained. The original desi was to place the chicken in a bag made of date tree leaves, placed on bricks, with water at the bottom of a large pot of deg, hence the degi name
