Sizzling Brownie Ala Mode is an Indian interpretation of brownie a la mode. Sizzler hot plate is used to create a dramtic entrance for this special chocolate brownie with a wonderful nutty sauce.

Ingredients

  • For Brownie:
  • Eggs 2
  • Butter 4 ounce
  • Cooking chocolate 6 ounce
  • Flour 1/2 cup
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Brown sugar 1/2 cup
  • Walnuts (chopped) 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
  • For Sauce:
  • Water 1 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Cocoa powder 3 tbsp
  • Walnuts crushed 2 tbsp
  • Icing sugar 4 tbsp
  • Corn syrup 4 tbsp
  • Fresh cream 2-3 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. For Brownie:

  2. Grease 8/8 inch square pan.

  3. Pre heat oven to No. 4 or 350 degree F.

  4. Sift flour and baking powder.

  5. Beat butter and sugar till fluffy.

  6. Beat in the eggs one at a time, until very light.

  7. Beat vanilla essence and melted chocolate.

  8. Fold in the flour until just combines.

  9. Stir in chopped walnuts, pour the mixture into prepared tin.

  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Now cool and cut into squares.

  11. For Sauce:

  12. In a pan, put together water, vanilla essence, butter, cocoa powder, crushed walnuts, icing sugar, corn syrup and fresh cream.

  13. Cook for 2 minutes. Heat sizzler plate slightly and brush with oil.

  14. Just before serving place 2-3 brownies on the plate.

  15. Put scoops of vanilla ice cream on each one.

  16. Bring this to the table and pour boiling sauce over the ice cream.

  17. Make sure that the sizzler plate and the sauce are very hot.
