It is a dish soup meal made of egg noodles and curried beef or chicken with coconut milk, served with a variety of contrasting condiments. Khow Suey is a fabulous one pot meal that never fails to impress so try it and enjoy its scrumptious taste.

Ingredients

  • To make Mince:
  • Mince 1 kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red Chili pwd 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric pwd 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala pwd 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1 cup
  • To make Curry:
  • Coconut Cream Pwd 2 packets
  • Gram Flour 2 tbsp
  • Curry leaves few
  • Salt to taste
  • Water 2 glasses
  • For Masala:
  • Noodles 1 packet
  • Samosa strips deep fried
  • Onions 2
  • Spring Onions 2 bunches
  • Green Chilies 10
  • Fresh coriander 2 bunches
  • Lemons 8
  • Crushed Red Chili 2 tbsp
  • Carom seeds 1 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. In a pan add oil, mince meat, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam Masala powder and salt.

  2. Mix well and let it cook on low heat.

  3. When mince water dries, saute and take it out.

  4. To make Curry: In a blender add coconut cream powder, salt, water and gram flour, blend until the gram flour has dissolved.

  5. Now in a pan, add blended mixture and curry leaves, allow it to boil for few minutes.

  6. For Masala: Sauté carom seeds and red chili flakes on a pan.

  7. Take a deep plate, place a single layer of mince, top generously with boiled noodles.

  8. Then add roasted red chili flakes, roasted carom seeds, chopped onions, spring onions, green chilies, fresh coriander and lemon juice.

  9. One on top of the other as per preference.

  10. Top it with a layer of coconut curry, fried samosa strips. Khowsey is ready.
