Potatoes Duckling is a wonderful recipe made of boiled mashed potatoes and cooked minced chicken. They are mixed with other ingredients, shaped, coated with egg and bread crumbs and fried. Recipe by Shireen Anwar.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes (boiled and mashed) 1/2 kg
  • Chicken mince 250 gm
  • Tomato (chopped) 1 small
  • Egg (beaten) 1
  • Green chillies (chopped) 3
  • Cloves 6
  • Black pepper (crushed) 12
  • Bread crumbs as required
  • White vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Wooster sauce 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard powder 1/2 tsp
  • Chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Onion (chopped) 2 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Boil mince with ginger garlic paste, salt, chili powder and 1 cup of water till tender.

  2. Heat oil, fry chopped onion till it turns light golden.

  3. Add in boiled mince with crushed black pepper, mustard powder, vinegar, Wooster sauce, chopped green chillies and chopped tomato.

  4. Fry for 5 minutes, remove cool, and fill in boiled and mashed potatoes.

  5. Make duckling as shown, dip in beaten egg, rolls in bread crumbs and fry.
