  • Cashew nuts 50 gm
  • Stock 2 cups
  • Green lentils 1 cup
  • Rice 2 cup
  • Onion 1
  • Star anise 2
  • Cardamoms 2
  • Cloves 4
  • Green chilies 6
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Coconut 1 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat oil in pan, add in chopped onion and fry till golden brown, now add cumin seeds and fry well.

  2. Then add stock, also add salt, turmeric, desiccated coconut, black pepper, star anise, 5 cloves and cook for 5 minutes.

  3. Now add rice and split green lentils, cook for 30 minutes.

  4. Now turn the flame off, dish it out, spread fried cashew nuts and green chilies.

  5. Serve hot.
