Ingredients

  • Carrots, grated 1 kg
  • Milk 1 litre
  • Almonds, blanched and split 20 gm
  • Clarified butter (ghee) 100 gm
  • Khoya, grated 60 gm
  • Raisins 15 gm
  • Sugar 240 gm

Cooking Directions

  1. Boil milk in a kadhai.

  2. Add the grated carrots and cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until the milk has thickened.

  3. Stir in sugar and cook till most of the moisture has evaporated.

  4. Add the ghee and stir-cook for 5 minutes.

  5. Remove from fire and mix in the khoya.

  6. To Serve: Garnish with almonds and raisins and silver leaf, if desired. Serve hot.
