Ingredients

  • Flour 3 cups
  • Packed Brown Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Baking Powder 2 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Baking Soda 1/4 tsp
  • Butter(chilled) 3 tbsp
  • Butter Milk(Lassi) 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla Extract 1 tsp
  • Egg 2
  • Banana(mashed) 1 cup
  • Chocolate Chips 1/2 cup
  • Walnuts(chopped) 1/3 cup
  • Brown Sugar 1 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda  & salt.

  3. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.

  4. Set aside.

  5. In a medium bowl, mix butter milk, vanilla, egg whites, and banana.

  6. Add wet mixture to dry mixture just until combined.

  7. Mix in chocolate chips.

  8. Turn dough out on lightly floured surface.

  9. Knead lightly. Grease a cookie sheet.

  10. Pat the dough into a 9" circle on the cookie sheet.

  11. Sprinkle the walnuts and brown sugar over the dough, pressing gently into the dough.

  12. Cut the dough into the 12 Slices.

  13. Bake for 20 minutes.
