  • Puff pastry 200 gm
  • Walnuts 200 gm
  • Sugar or golden syrup 200 ml
  • Egg 1

Cooking Directions

  1. Add sugar syrup or golden syrup to crushed walnuts and mix.

  2. Roll puff pastry with a rolling pin.

  3. Grease a 1-inch deep baking pan with butter and place half pastry dough in the pan.

  4. Top with sugar glazed walnuts and then place remaining puff pastry in the pan.

  5. Brush with a beaten egg and bake in a pre heated oven at 200 f for 12 to 15 minutes.

  6. When the dough turns golden brown, take out of oven and top with golden syrup.

  7. Cut baked Baklava in the desired shape and serve.
