Ingredients

  • Chicken 1 (with skin, 12 pieces)
  • Vinegar 4 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt 2 tbsp + ⅓ tsp
  • Garlic powder 2 tbsp
  • Chinese salt 2 tbsp
  • Chicken powder 4 tbsp
  • White pepper powder 4 tbsp
  • All purpose flour 2 cups
  • Rice powder ½ cup
  • Corn flour ½ cup
  • Eggs 3 (beaten)
  • Oil for frying

Cooking Directions

  1. Marinate the chicken with vinegar, red chilli powder and ⅓ tsp of salt for half an hour.

  2. In a spice grinding machine, grind garlic powder, Chinese salt, chicken powder, white pepper powder and 2 tbsp of salt for 2 minutes.

  3. Take a bowl and place a large strainer in it.

  4. Add all purpose flour, rice powder, corn flour, and the ground spice mixture in the strainer and strain well.

  5. Mix the strained mixture and transfer it into a tray and spread it equally.

  6. Dip the marinated chicken pieces in the beaten eggs and then coat them with the spice mixture by pressing the pieces properly in the spice mixture.

  7. Remove extra spice mixture from the pieces by shaking them.

  8. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the chicken pieces on medium flame until they turn a golden brown colour.

  9. Remove them from the pan and serve hot with sauces.
