Ingredients

  • Mutton/Beef 1 kg undercut (cut into cubes)
  • Onion 1
  • Lemon juice 2 tsp
  • Tomatoes 2 (cut into cubes)
  • Capsicum 2 (cut into cubes)
  • Boiled rice as required
  • Olive oil 1/3 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper 1 tsp (fresh crushed)
  • Metal skewers 6-7

Cooking Directions

  1. Boil rice with orange food colour.

  2. Take a mixing bowl put meat.

  3. Marinate with salt, black pepper, lemon juice and olive oil, set aside for 3-4 hours.

  4. Heat up electric grill oven.

  5. Thread meat, onion, tomato and capsicum alternately onto skewers.

  6. Grill over high heat for 8-10 minutes then turn and grill for an additional 8-10 minutes.

  7. Remove the meat and vegetables from the skewer by placing it over the rice.

  8. Serve the shish kebabs over orange rice for a full course and nutritional meal.

  9. Note: you can use papaya paste/meat tenderizer for marinating.

  10. You can also make this kebab in oven, charcoal angeethi or on tava-fry pan.
