Ingredients

  • Chickpeas 1/2 cup- soak in hot water for ½ hour
  • Beetroots 4 boiled and cut in small squares
  • Raisins 1/2 cup for garnish, soak in hot water
  • White pepper 1 tsp powdered
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Salad oil 1 tbsp
  • White vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Lemons 4
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Drain the chickpeas and boil in fresh water. Do not overcook.

  2. Drain chickpeas.

  3. Combine with all other ingredients and lemon juice and refrigerate.

  4. Roast the raisins on a tawa with a little grease and sprinkle on salad before serving.
