  • Fine flour 1-1/2 cup
  • Eating soda a pinch
  • Silver leafs 2
  • Water ½ cup
  • Pistachio 100 g
  • Tatri ¼ tsp
  • Alum a tsp (patkhari)
  • Clarified butter 4 tbsp
  • For sugar syrup:
  • Sugar 1 kg
  • Water 1 glass
  • Cardamom ½ tsp (chopped)
  • Clarified oil as required

Cooking Directions

  1. In a bowl add fine flour and add pinch of eating soda, taatri, alum (pitkhari), water and clarified butter, knead it properly.

  2. Now make small balls from batter and from the help of the thumb press from the center and fry in clarified butter as required.

  3. Then put sugar, glass of water and chopped cardamom, mix it and prepare sugar syrup.

  4. Now this put balo shahi in sugar syrup for half an hour.

  5. And in the end garnished with silver leafs and sprinkled pistachio and serve it.
