Ingredients

  • Chick peas 1 kg
  • Rice 750 gm
  • Bay leave 2
  • Clove 4
  • Cinnamon 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli to taste
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Cumin seed 1 tsp
  • Coriander 1 tsp
  • All spices 1 tsp
  • Dry plum 15
  • Yogurt 250 gm
  • Onion 3
  • Tomato 3
  • Mint leave 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Lemon 2
  • Yello food colour as required

Cooking Directions

  1. Boil rice with bay leaves, clove, cinnamon and salt.

  2. Boil chick peas.

  3. Chop onion and fry it until brown after ward crush it.

  4. In a pan heat oil put onion, ginger garlic paste, green chilli, all spices and chick peas cook it.

  5. Now add yogurt add little water in it and cook more 5 minutes.

  6. In another pan put this masala, mint leaves, tomatoes, lemon juice and rice.

  7. Repeat this method 2 times and on top sprinkle yellow colour.

  8. Cover with lid and leave on slow flame for steam.

  9. Serve hot with salad and raita.
