Burfee or burfi is a very popular sweet of Sub-continent. Enjoy this recipe of coconut bufee made of coconut powder, cardamom, saffron and sugar.

Ingredients

  • Coconut powder 600 gm
  • Cardamom powder 5 gm
  • Pistachios/Silver leaf for garnishing a few
  • Saffron a few strands
  • Sugar 60 gm
  • Kewra 1 drop
  • Water 1/3 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Put sugar and water to heat in a pan.

  2. Stir continuously till the sugar is completely dissolved.

  3. Bring to boil. Add coconut powder, kewra, saffron and cardamom powder.

  4. Mix well. Remove from the heat and spread evenly on a greased baking tray.

  5. Cool and cut into 8 pieces.
