Ingredients

  • Garlic 8 pods
  • Lemons 2 dozen
  • Dry red chilies 4 oz
  • Fenugreek 2 tsp
  • Gingelly oil 1/2 pint
  • Salt 2 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Peel garlic , wash and dry well with a dry towel.

  2. Squeeze the juice of the lemons and put in a quart-size jar.

  3. Add salt and garlic cloves, shake well and keep aside for 4 days.

  4. Meanwhile, prepare the remaining ingredients.

  5. Heat 2 tbsp oil, and fry chilies, remove from oil, and powder finely.

  6. Fry the fenugreek and grind to a powder.

  7. On the fourth day add chili powder, fenugreek and remaining oil to the garlic.

  8. Shake the bottle well and seal.

  9. Ready for use after 4 more days.
