When kheer mixture will be ready just pour it into ring shaped mold base, when settled well then dish out in a platter, fill ring hollow with fruits cocktail, decorate with cream and garnish with dry fruits. Its very delightful dessert for anytime of the year.

  • Fresh cream 1 packet
  • Egg whites 2
  • Milk 5 cups
  • Sugar ¾ cup
  • Rice ½ cup
  • Fruit cocktail 1 small tin
  • Orange juice 2 tbsp
  • Almonds 2 tbsp
  • Pistachio 2 tbsp
  • Gelatin 1 ½ tbsp (heaped)

Cooking Directions

  1. In a sauce pan, cook together milk and rice for half an hour until rice tender and creamy.

  2. Add in ¾ cup sugar and cook for another 5 minutes.

  3. Now dissolve gelatin in orange juice then mix into rice mixture, cool completely.

  4. Beat egg white stiffed.

  5. Beat cream till thick, fold whipped cream into rice and milk mixture.

  6. Lastly fold in the egg white and fruit cocktail mix well, turn rice into a ring mold, chill until set.

  7. To serve: Over turn kheer onto a serving plate, garnish with fruit cocktail, flaked almonds and pistachio.
