  • Fresh spinach, shredded 1 kg
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Butter 75 g
  • Clove garlic, roughly chopped 1
  • Cooked beef tongue, cut into strips 100 g
  • Salt, pepper, pinch of nutmeg
  • Lemon juice

Cooking Directions

  1. Blanch the spinach in boiling, salted water for 3-5 minutes.

  2. Drain thoroughly. Heat oil and butter.

  3. Saute garlic till brown, remove garlic and discard.

  4. Add the tongue and saute until crisp.

  5. Add drained spinach, seasoning and a little lemon juice and serve.
