There is nothing better then garlic filling in any of the savory confectioneries. With the lovely aroma of butter and garlic, you will ask for more. It’s super easy to make and so delicious.

Ingredients

  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Garlic cloves 2 (crushed)
  • Egg 1 (beaten)
  • Milk 1 tbsp
  • For dough :
  • Flour 2 cups
  • Yeast 1 tbsp
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter 1 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix together flour, yeast, salt, butter, sugar with desired amount of water to make a dough.

  2. Rest the dough for about an hour till it doubles in size.

  3. In a small saucepan, over low heat, melt the butter and warm the garlic cloves.

  4. Punch back the dough, stretch the dough into a 10 by 12 inch rectangle.

  5. Spread the butter and garlic over the surface.

  6. Starting at a long edge, roll the dough like a Swiss roll.

  7. Using a sharp knife, cut into 1 ¼ inch pieces.

  8. Lay the pieces flat over a flat baking tray.

  9. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.

  10. Glaze with the egg mixed with milk.

  11. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
