Ingredients

  • For Koftas:
  • Fish fillet 1/2 kg
  • Lemon 1
  • Mint leaves (chopped) 1/2 bunch
  • Onion (chopped) 1
  • Green chillies (chopped) 4
  • Egg white 1
  • Bread slices 2 slices
  • Rice flour 2 tbsp
  • Whole black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed red chillies 1/2 tbsp
  • White cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Hot spices powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • For Gravy:
  • Onions 3
  • Ginger/garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tbsp
  • Hot spices powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Coat fish pieces with a little white vinegar, after 10 minutes wash them and coat them with lemon juice.

  2. Grease a tawa with oil & grill the fish pieces on it.

  3. Take the pieces off when all the water dries up and mash them with the help of fork.

  4. Add kofta ingredients to the mashed fish & mix with hands.

  5. Make small koftas & fry on low heat.

  6. To make gravy, heat oil in a pot & add finely sliced onions.

  7. Fry till they turn light golden & then add all the gravy ingredients.

  8. When oil appears on the surface, arrange koftas in it.

  9. Add 1 1/2 cups water & without stirring cook on medium flame.

  10. Take it off flame after 10 minutes.

  11. Garnish with coriander leaves & green chillies before serving.
