Ingredients

  • For Fish Balls:
  • Fish fillet 300 gm
  • Onion 1
  • Whole red chili 2 – 3
  • Garlic cloves 3
  • Ginger 1 medium sized piece
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce 1 tbsp
  • Brown sugar 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Egg 1/2
  • Salt to taste
  • For Cooking:
  • Green onion 2 (chopped)
  • Chinese cabbage ¼ bunch (sliced)
  • Capsicum 1 (chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Egg noodles ½ packet
  • Chicken stock 1 glass
  • Soy sauce 2 tbsp
  • Celery sticks 1 (chopped)
  • Peas ½ cup (boiled)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper ¼ tsp
  • Coriander 1 tbsp (garnish)
  • Oil 2 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. In a food processor chop together the fish fillet, onion, fresh red chili, garlic cloves, ginger, coriander powder, cumin powder, Soya sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, corn flour egg and salt.

  2. Take it out the chopped fish mixture and shape them to form small balls.

  3. Heat oil in a wok, add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes.

  4. Now add vegetables, soy sauce, salt and pepper, stir fry for few more minutes.

  5. Add boiled egg noodles and toss them together with vegetables.

  6. Add chicken stock and cook until it boils.

  7. In the meantime add fish ball to the stock.

  8. Cover the pan, simmer and cook until the fish balls are done.

  9. Remove the lid after 10 to 12 minutes.

  10. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
