Another idea for Christmas cupcake decoration is not hard at all. Baked cupcakes or buy ready made for this. Make sure your cupcake should not be very moisten or soft.

  • Frosting 1 cup
  • Pink sugar crystals 1 cup
  • Candy cane 12
  • Fondant 1 ½ cup
  • Sugar cones 12
  • White candy melts 3 cups
  • Confetti sprinkles 1 cup
  • Snowflake sprinkles 1 cup
  • Icing colors depends on your choice
  • Cupcakes 12

Cooking Directions

  1. Take the sugar cones and cut those from the end so the tree is no longer than 3 inches. Use a sharp knife for cutting the cones because the cones should not be crushed because that cone will be of no use.

  2. Now dip the entire cones in white coating. Even it with a specula and remove the excess coating.

  3. Take a bowl and sprinkle the sugar crystals on the cones so the extra sugar fall in the bowl and could be used again.

  4. Now set on wax paper and let the cone dry.

  5. It’s time to place the canes, the canes must be 5-6 inch tall so that it can easily support the cone.

  6. Cover your cupcakes with pink frostings. You can change the colour of frosting if you want to.

  7. Now put in the cane in the cupcake, one side dipped in cake and other in the cone.

  8. Set a Christmas Tree on apex of the candy cane. Do not touch it till candy coating dry.

  9. Decoration can be added on the cupcake plus the cones before one attaches the tree.

  10. If you want to add present on the cupcakes then take the ready-to-roll icing and make square shape boxes with it. For the ribbon of the presents cut the fondant in strip shapes. Attach the ribbon on presents by little water and lastly attach the snowflakes in the same way.

  11. Note: The cakes used must be dense so they could support the cones. Soft cakes won’t be able to support the cones or you can leave out the canes if you want to as entire cone can be placed on the cake.
