This meatball curry is mincemeat that are made into balls and cooked in a yoghurt and spices masala sauce. You can serve this kofta curry recipe with naan or chapatti or even simple boiled rice.

  • Mince 1/2 kg
  • Yogurt/Curd 1 pao
  • Onion 2
  • Green chillies 6
  • Eggs 1 beaten
  • Gram flour 2 tbsp
  • Onion (fried) 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  • All spices powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Red chilli 2 tsp
  • Fenugreek seed (roasted) 2 tsp
  • Cumin seed 2 tsp
  • Oil 1 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. For Koftas: In mince put 1 tbsp chopped onion, 2tbsp fried onion, gram flour, red chilli, all spices powder, salt, ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp curd, egg and coriander leaves mix well.

  2. Marinate for 20 minutes then make small balls.

  3. For Curry: In a pan heat oil put fenugreek seed and fried onion add little water and cook.

  4. In blender put curd, 2 green chillies, 2 tbsp fried onion and chopped onion.

  5. Put this blended curd mixture in oil and fry.

  6. Add ginger garlic paste, salt, coriander powder, re chilli powder, all spices powder and cumin seed fry well.

  7. Add water as desired thick gravy, cook 5 minutes.

  8. When boil comes add koftas cook it with  out covering lid.

  9. Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve with chapati.

For mince please follow first step add 1 table spoon of raw chopped onion and 2 table spoon of fried brown onion and 2 tbsp gram flour 1/2 tsp red chili or to taste 1 tsp gram masala powder 1 tsp ginger garlic paste 1 tbs yogurt one egg 1 tsp salt and 1/2 bunch of coriander leaves put all in mince and marinate. thanks
