Ingredients

  • Butter 8 ounces
  • Caster sugar 1 cup
  • Flour 1-1/2 cup
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Egg 4
  • Vanilla essence 1-1/2 tsp
  • Milk 1/4 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Grease a 8 inches bandit pan and dust flour all over it. Keep aside.

  2. Beat butter and sugar together till light and creamy.

  3. Add vanilla essence and beat again.

  4. Add egg yolk, one at a time. Beat very well.

  5. Beat egg white separately till fluffy and fold in to the mixture.

  6. Fold sifted flour and baking powder in the butter mixture slowly.

  7. Add milk and lightly fold in to the mixture.

  8. Spread mixture in the greased pan and place in a preheated oven for 45 minutes at moderate temperature
