Ingredients

  • Mutton ½ kg
  • Salt 1 tsp heaped
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Coriander powder 1½ tsp
  • All spice 1 tsp leveled
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Cumin 1 tsp heaped (roasted and crushed)
  • Chili powder 1½ tsp
  • Brown onion 3tbsp (crushed)
  • Kewra water 1tbsp
  • Saffron ¼tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
  • Green cardamom powder ¼tsp
  • Cashew nuts 1tbsp (ground)
  • Malai 2tbsp
  • Mint leaves 10
  • Oil as required

Cooking Directions

  1. Marinate meat with salt, yogurt, coriander powder, all spice, lemon juice, cumin, chili powder, brown onion, ginger garlic paste and green cardamom powder, leave to marinate for 1 hour.

  2. Heat oil add marinated mutton, cover and simmer on low flame for 30 minutes.

  3. Add in cashew nuts paste mixed with malai, kewra water, saffron and mint leaves.

  4. Leave it on simmer till oil floats on top.

  5. Serve with naan.
