White Masala Biryani is very easy and simple recipe. Whenever I make it all my family member like and appreciate me very much. It goes great with vegetable raita.

  • For Stock
  • Water 6 cups
  • Garlic 6 cloves
  • Bay leaf 4
  • Black cardamom 2
  • Whole coriander 1 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon 1 stick
  • For Mutton:
  • Mutton ½ kg
  • Onion 1 (sliced)
  • Salt to taste
  • Cloves 4
  • Black cardamom 1
  • Green cardamom 4
  • Green chillies ground 2 tsp
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Tomatoes 2 (chopped)
  • Brown onion ½ cup
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Potatoes 4
  • Rice ½ kg (boiled)

Cooking Directions

  1. In a pan put all together water, garlic, bay leaf, fennel seeds, cinnamon, black cardamom, and coriander and cook for 20 minutes.

  2. Strain the stock and keep aside.

  3. Add this stock to the pan add in mutton with sliced onion, salt, cloves, black cardamom, green cardamom, green chilies and cook till mutton half done.

  4. Now add potatoes, yogurt, tomatoes slice and brown onion and cook until water dries and mutton fully cooked.

  5. Boil rice with salt till half done. Drain rice.

  6. In a pan spread mutton mixture cover with boil rice.

  7. Heat oil and pour on top of rice.

  8. Simmer for 15 minutes on low flame, delicious white masala biryani is ready to be served.

  1. Mudassar oil that is poured over would be enough to prevent rice stick on the bottom.

  2. I think the recipe is alright ,?but you need to use little bit stock water on the end other wise Rice gonna touch the bottom ,if you put oil on the top of rice that's make rice more gresee, and if you doing that's recipe please use bit mint for extra falavour .
