Ingredients

  • Bread 12 slices
  • Sugar 200 grams
  • Milk 1 liter
  • Almonds 10
  • Pistachio 10 (finely chopped)
  • Saffron ¼ tsp
  • Oil for frying
  • Kewra ¼ tsp
  • Bread crumbs 1/2 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. In a medium cooking pot, boil milk.

  2. While milk is boiling, add sugar, almonds, finely choppedpistachios, kewra and saffron.

  3. Let it cook on a medium flame and keep stir continuously.

  4. Now add bread crumbs of slices of bread and mix till milk thickens.

  5. Cut slices of bread into 1 inch cubes and deep fry.

  6. When bread cubes are golden brown in color, take out from oil and put on strainer.

  7. In a deep platter, make a layer of thick milk and then a layer of fried bread cubes.

  8. Repeat layers until platter is full.

  9. Delicious Double ka Metha is ready.
