Ingredients

  • Minced Meat ½ kg (boiled)
  • Onion 1 cup (chopped)
  • Rice 750 gm (boiled)
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Black pepper 6 pods
  • Cloves 6 pods
  • Cinnamon 1 piece
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes 2 (sliced)
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Green chili paste 1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala 1 tsp
  • Salt 1½ tsp
  • Red Chili Pepper 2 tsp (ground)
  • Coriander 2 tsp (crushed)
  • Turmeric ½ tsp (ground)
  • Eggs 3 (boiled)
  • Coriander leaves 1 cup (chopped)
  • Mint leaves 1 cup
  • Yellow food coloring ¼ tsp (mixed in 2 tbsp water)
  • Water ½ cup
  • Clarified butter as needed

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add pepper, cloves, cinnamon, cumin and onion and fry until onions are soft.

  2. Now add the ginger garlic paste, green pepper paste, garam masala, white cumin, minced meat, yogurt and coriander leaves and cook thoroughly.

  3. Then add water, red chili pepper, coriander, turmeric, garam masala and salt. Cook until mince tender.

  4. Remove from stove and give smoke with hot coal.

  5. In a pan, spread half the boiled rice and add a layer of boiled eggs cut into slices, green coriander and mint leaves.

  6. Then add a layer of tomatoes, drop food color on the rice and add a layer of cooked mince on top.

  7. Lastly, layer the remaining rice on top and pour two tbsp of clarified butter.

  8. Steam the rice over low heat for 20 minutes.

  9. Delicious Layer Dhuan Dar Biryani is ready to serve.
