Sindhi Chicken biryani with potatoes is great rice dish. This authentic rice dish can be served on special day. You can use beef or mutton instead of chicken.

  • Boiled rice ½ kg
  • Chicken ½ kg
  • Potatoes ½ kg
  • Plums 50g
  • Yogurt 375g
  • Tomatoes 250g
  • Mint ½ bunch
  • Coriander ½ bunch
  • Green chilies 6
  • Lemons 2
  • Mix all spice powder 1 tbsp
  • Star anise 4
  • Yellow color ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander 2 tsp
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp
  • Onions 2
  • oil as required
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté onion.

  2. Now put chicken and potatoes in a same bowl and cook it properly.

  3. Then add ginger garlic paste, yogurt, plums, mix whole spice, star anise, all spice powder, turmeric, red chili powder, salt and chopped coriander and cook on low flame for 20 minutes.

  4. After this add tomato slices, coriander, mint and green chilies and stir for 5 minutes.

  5. Now add boiled rice and yellow food color and let it simmer for 20 minutes.

  6. Sindhi Biryani is ready.
