Why go to a restaurant when you can prepare a fantastic fried fish at home? Here is an amazing recipe of fish with touch of Lahori taste. Boil rice water is used in this recipe to make a crisp coating. This tastes like something you order out.

Ingredients

  • Fish 1 kg
  • Gram flour 1 cup
  • Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
  • Lemons 4 to 6
  • White Vinegar 1 tbsp
  • White cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Boiled rice water 3 cups
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Rice flour 2 tbsp
  • Oil as required

Cooking Directions

  1. Marinate fish pieces with white vinegar.

  2. After 10 minutes, wash well with cold water.

  3. In a bowl, add gram flour, red chili flakes, garam Masala powder, white cumin seeds, salt, and rice flour and mix well.

  4. Add turmeric powder and lemon’s juice to boiled rice water and cut the remaining lemons into two halves.

  5. Now dip each fish piece into boiled rice water and apply gram flour mixture on it with the help of lemons.

  6. Keep them aside for half hour.

  7. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry all fish pieces on low flame until golden brown.

  8. Serve hot.
