  • Chicken drumsticks 5 - 6
  • Onion 1
  • Coconut milk 1 cup
  • Garlic cloves 3 – 4
  • Ginger 1 medium piece
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Tamarind paste 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Oil 5 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves (garnish)
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. In a food processor chop together, ginger, garlic, onion, lemon juice, turmeric, tamarind paste, brown sugar, black pepper, salt along with a required amount of water, to form a paste.

  2. Heat oil in a pan, on medium flame and fry the drumsticks until turn golden brown.

  3. Pour in the prepared paste over fried drumsticks along with coconut milk.

  4. Cover and simmer for 10 – 15 minutes.

  5. Uncover and increase the flame until the water dries.

  6. Serve hot with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
