It is one of the well known and all time favorite curry of Pakistani cuisine. I believe that none of the Pakistani kitchen is deprived of this special curry. Try it with yogurt and may find a new way to cook.

Ingredients

  • Mutton ½ kg
  • Potato 4
  • Turmeric powder 1 ½ tsp
  • Onion 2 (finely chopped)
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • Green chili 2
  • All Spice powder 1 tsp
  • Fresh coriander leaves ½ bunch (chopped)
  • Green chilies 2 (chopped)

Cooking Directions

  1. Peel potatoes and cut them into pieces.

  2. Mix ½ tsp turmeric powder with water and soak the potato pieces in it.

  3. In a pan heat oil, add mutton, onion, ginger garlic, 1 tsp turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and 2 cups of hot water.

  4. Cook till water dries and meat tenders.

  5. Then add in yogurt and pieces of potatoes and stir fry.

  6. Now add 2 cup of water, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

  7. When the oil separates, add in all spice powder, fresh coriander leaves and chopped green chilies and keep it on a low flame.

  8. Serve it hot with naan.
