Chop whole spices including cumin, aniseed, whole coriander, mustard seeds and add in yogurt.
Add turmeric, salt, red chili powder and chopped garlic and mix well.
Take boiled green gram into a pan and add the mixture of yogurt and spices.
Heat on medium flame until it dries.
Now add green chilies and fresh coriander .
Take pan, heat the oil and make a seasoning of mustard seeds, whole red chili, asafateda and curry leaves.
Heat the red hot coal and place over daal, allow its smoke by dripping a drop of oil and cover the pan for 5 minutes.
It is ready to serve.
