This traditional recipe brings you a completely new scrumptious flavor. Shah Jehani koftas with nawabi touch, its nutty and delicious. Chicken mince is combined with so many flavors to give an exotic tatse and cooked in a rich and creamy curry.

  • Mince chicken 1kg
  • Brown onions 1
  • Bread slices 4
  • Finely chopped green chilies 6
  • Green cardamoms 8
  • Almonds 8
  • Coriander 1 bunch (finely chopped)
  • Mint leaves ½ bunch (finely chopped)
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • For gravy:
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Chopped onions 3
  • Chopped green chilies 4
  • Boiled and chopped almonds 10
  • Fresh cream 1 packet
  • White pepper 1 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Powdered white cumin 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt as required

Cooking Directions

  1. In a food processor chop together all the ingredients with the mince except for the chopped coriander, mint and green chilies

  2. Now add the green chilies,coriander and mint leaves.

  3. Shape the meat into medium sized koftas and shallow fry till they turn golden brown.

  4. In a large pan fry the chopped onions till they turn golden brown.

  5. Place them on an absorbent paper and crush them.

  6. In a mixing bowl add yogurt along with the crushed onions, ginger garlic paste, white pepper, powdered cumin and all spice powder.

  7. Heat oil in a pan and fry the yogurt mixture for 3 - 4 minutes.

  8. Now add the fried koftas along with 1 cup water.

  9. Cook for five minutes.

  10. Add 1 packet of beaten fresh cream , cover and simmer for another 5 minutes.

  11. Garnish with almonds, chopped coriander and green chilies.

  12. The shah-jehani koftas are ready to serve.
