Ingredients

  • Potatoes 4 (medium sized, peeled and sliced)
  • Gram flour 1 cup
  • Plain flour 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • Yellow food color 1/8 tsp
  • All spice powder 1/4 tsp
  • Dried fenugreek leaves 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Baking powder 1/4 tsp
  • Chaat masala to sprinkle
  • Oil for deep frying

Cooking Directions

  1. Cut potatoes in round slices and dip them in lukewarm water.

  2. Mix all the ingredients except oil and chaat masala in a bowl and make a smooth batter.

  3. Heat oil in a wok.

  4. Drain water from the potatoes on a kitchen towel.

  5. Dip potato slices in batter and fry them in oil till potatoes turned into golden color.

  6. Sprinkle Chaat masala and serve with ketchup or green chutney.
