Ingredients

  • Medium sized prawns, shelled, deveined 1/2 kg
  • Shelled peas 1, 1/2 cup
  • Oil as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry I:
  • Cinnamon stick 1"
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Cloves 2
  • Well-beaten curd 1/4 cup
  • Coconut milk 1 cup
  • Sugar 3/4 tsp
  • Curry II:
  • Onion 2
  • Ginger 1" piece
  • Red chillies 2
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Devein the prawns and sprinkle a little turmeric powder and salt over prawns.

  2. Then fry lightly and keep aside.

  3. Heat 1-2 tbsp oil and fry the ground curry I paste till it is brown.

  4. Add the peas, sugar, salt and ground curry II.

  5. Cover and cook till the peas are tender.

  6. Then add the prawns and cook till soft.

  7. Put in the well-beaten curd.

  8. Cook for 2 minutes and add the coconut milk, Cook till thick and creamy.

  9. Serve hot with rice.
