Kebabs are a delicious food to make your dine fine. Mostly kebabs are made with meat but in this recipe bottle gourd is used to make kebab. This recipe adds a variety for vegetarian. Bottle Gourd Seekh Kabab has a perfect taste to eat.

Ingredients

  • Bottle Gourd 1 ½ Kg
  • Gram lentil 1 cup
  • Red chili 10 (whole)
  • Black pepper 6 (whole)
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • Clove 4
  • Black cumin 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander 1 tsp (whole)
  • Green coriander leaves 1 bunch (finely chopped)
  • Egg 1
  • Bread slice 4
  • Green chili 3 (finely chopped)
  • Garlic cloves 6
  • Ginger 1 small piece
  • Onion 2 halves (finely chopped)
  • Oil / Clarified butter as required

Cooking Directions

  1. Peel bottle gourd and grate it.

  2. Then cook it in it's own water.

  3. Add all spices in gram lentils except green spices and onion.

  4. Cook gram lentils on low flame with little water.

  5. When water dries up then chop in chopper.

  6. Now squeeze the water from cooked bottle gourd and combine in chopped lentils mixture.

  7. Cut sides of bread slices and make crumbs, mix it and egg, green spices and onion above mixture.

  8. After half an hour, put kebabs on skewers and grill.

  9. Apply oil with brush and serve hot.
