South Asia knows no end to chatpatty chaat snacks. Dahi batata puri is another face of sour and spicy South Asian snack. Gol gappas are stuffed with a potato and chickpea filling and topped with yogurt and chutneys.

Ingredients

  • Gol gappay 12
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Coriander chutney 3 tbsp
  • Tamarind chutney 6 tbsp
  • Sev for garnish
  • For Filling:
  • Potato 1 boiled
  • Chickpeas boiled
  • Chaat spice 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder ½ tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. In a bowl mix together coarsely mashed potato, boiled chickpeas, Chaat spice, chilli powder and salt.

  2. Puncture Gol Gappa with your thumbs tip, stuff with filling, pour yogurt and tamarind chutney into the Gol Gappas, place in a serving plate and top with remaining tamarind chutney, yogurt and dot with coriander chutney.

  3. Garnish with sev and coriander leaves.
